The 2018 Autocross season is in full swing. This is an opportunity to get your car on a track in an extremely safe environment and have some real fun going around corners. We just don’t get a chance in our daily driving of our Corvettes on the streets and freeways to really push the car. But on a track, where you are driving without any other cars around, you can really have some fun. Push the car around corners at 1 G (and on some of our cars, even more!) and mash the accelerator to get all the jump off the starting line. Talk about FUN! If you have not done this, you owe it to yourself to give it a try.
We usually have a caravan going to the events in Shelton on both Saturday and Sunday. Saturday we team up with the Washington Viper Club who host the event. On Sunday, we team with NWACC as the sponsor. The cost is generally $45 to $50 per day. And some of us stay overnight and run on both days. If this sounds at all interesting to you, contact Kevin Jewell or Alton Loe and we can give you more information about how to get involved.
Come even once, and you will probably want to come again.

Registration for NWACC events (all on Sundays) are available at:
For information on how to register for the Viper events (all on Saturdays) please contact Kevin Jewell ( or Alton Loe (

You’re Invited To Join
Evergreen Chevrolet @ Fenders on Front Street
Fathers Day - June 17, 2018

Our sponsor, Evergreen Chevrolet, has committed to a very large parking area on Front Street for their booth--same space as last year, but this year they have the entire space, e.g., no shared booths. Managing Partner Tony Rehn. Sr., has invited CMCS to provide a number of member Corvettes to display in their space. If enough people are interested, he will allocate the entire space plus the attendant Front Street space in front of his space to the club. If we are so inclined we can turn it into a CMCS Corvette Show.

Attendance requirement are simple:

1. A commitment to have your vehicle in the Evergreen Chevrolet exhibit space from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and

2. Have a Show-N-Shine ready car, weather permitting, or course.

To express an interest, please send email directly to Sponsor Liaison, Joe Powell ( at your earliest convenience.

We are in need of several more pickers. We recently signed a renewal contract for 4 more years for this important public service, and need to make good showings and do a good job. Our area is I-5 north of Seattle. If you can help, please contact Joe Powell as soon as possible.

If you are new to this, no problem. We will show you the ropes. We usually go to a nearby restaurant for brunch after we finish. And remember, you can keep anything you find as you wish.
