October 11, 2020 Last Chance Fall Leaves Loop Tour

We have options after the picnic/lunch.

• Sunday, Oct 11.  “Last Chance-Fall Leaves Loop Tour”. 
• Meet at XXX at 8:45 AM and leave at 9:00 AM SHARP.  Take I-90 to Cle Elum, where we will stop for 20 minutes at Burger King/Safeway for a rest stop.  Then thru Cle Elum and back road to Highway 97.  Slightly more than 2 hours driving time.
• Our destination will be  Riverside Park in Cashmere, arriving about 11:30 AM.  People should bring their folding chairs and a picnic lunch.
• Alternate to picnic lunch is Milepost 111 Brewing Company (just after we leave Highway 2).  They open on Sunday at 11 AM.  You can call on the way and order takeout.

• There are other places in Cashmere, but this one looks the best for takeout. 
• The park has an interesting memorial to 9-11.  There are artifacts from all the sites. 
• We return on Highway 2 thru Leavenworth.  People can drop off the tour in Leavenworth if they want, but the tour will continue towards home.  This gives us the loop
• Recent weather forecast for Cashmere was partly sunny and 58 degrees.  Not warm, but workable.
• I am anticipating an early start and early arrival in Cashmere in case the weather turns bad.  If it is raining, we can always change course and suggest we all stop at Milepost 111 Brewing for lunch.  If we have to stop at Milepost 111 for lunch we want to be there before the lunch crowd arrives, and I anticipate that 11:30 on Sunday should be the best we can do. 
• Weather permitting our plan is to have a group social at the park and perhaps a club meeting.
