Car Corral at Pacific Raceway Vintage Races

The PNW Historic car racing (organized by SOVREN) returns to Pacific Raceway July 4-6, 2025. There are multiple points of interest to those of us in CMCS. First, our sponsor, Evergreen Chevrolet, is also a major sponsor of the Historics. The Historics typically have a featured marque. However, this year the featured “marque” is the “70th anniversary of the Chevrolet small block”. As you all remember, the Chevy 265 ci small block debuted in 1955 with much fanfare also helped create the Corvette legacy that we still enjoy 70 years later. The organizers want to see as many Corvettes and other Chevy powered cars as possible at the race weekend. We have the opportunity to attend as a club and park in the special car corral area which also serves as a great multi-marque car show. Lastly, but not least, we will be able to view the most important, well attended, vintage race weekend of the year. Among the many race cars running in appropriate classes we will find at least a dozen Corvettes, from screaming small blocks to thundering big blocks. These Corvettes might be racing with Cobras, Jaguar XKEs, a Ford GT40, and perhaps a few Italian exotics. From the car corral (located along the main straight of the track) we have easy access to the pits to wander among all the race cars. Many of the drivers are more than happy to engage with us and answer questions or explain how they got involved with vintage racing. Generally, we will have the opportunity to participate in lunch break parade laps of the actual racecourse so that you can better visualize what the race drivers are seeing as they scream around the track.
CMCS has selected Saturday July 5 as the best day to participate in the car corral and watch the racing.
It would be a good idea to bring a folding chair(s). The concessions will be available for lunch.
NOTE: SOVREN wants just ONE reservation form for each club. If you are not planning to participate in the car corral, ignore this message and simply pay at the gate. If you want to participate in the car corral, you MUST register with the club so we can submit one form. To avoid time delays with the mail, please register through the club website with your credit card. In the price below we have included a small credit card fee and mailing costs. The Car Corral ticket includes one adult ticket.

Note that we will be limited to the first 20 car corral participants per club, so be the first on your block to register. Additionally, NOTE THAT YOU MUST REGISTER BY MAY 31 to allow enough time for the mailings back and forth. Once we have received the various tickets for all the club registrants, we will mail your tickets to your home. We also anticipate that we will have a caravan to the track so that we arrive at the same time.
