After a scenic drive from Seattle to Cascade Locks, Oregon, on Friday, March 13, our Wet Weekend 2026 group will walk a block from the hotel to dinner at Thunder Island Brewing Co. Then at the Best Western we’ll play “31” cards in the banquet room, followed by a good night’s sleep.

Saturday morning, March 14, hotel guests can enjoy a no-charge menu hot breakfast at the Bridgeside Restaurant adjacent to the hotel, then caravan to the Western Antique Aeroplane & Automobile Museum to participate in their special Second Saturday event (see next page and museum website!), as well as a private guided tour of the museum led by a volunteer docent. Enter the number of tickets you want when you register.
At the end of Saturday’s museum events (whenever you’d like to depart), you may either return home on your own (~4 hours for 230 miles to Seattle), or use your reservation to stay at the hotel for a 2nd night.

WESTERN ANTIQUE AEROPLANE & AUTOMOBILE MUSEUM EVENT
Saturday, March 14, 2026
Where: 1600 Air Museum Rd, Hood River, OR 97031
When: Museum open from 9 am – 5 pm.
Who: CMCS members @$18/person. Pay this discounted rate on the CMCS website.
What: Special “Second Saturday” event from 10 am – 2 pm. Many antique cars are taken out and driven; museum guests can ride for free. In good weather, biplanes are flown, and guests can fly for $100 - $250, depending on the plane. Note that electric sit-down scooters are available for rent ($10/day) to help tour this very large museum.
Lunch at museum: 11 am – 1 pm, separate checks for either museum café pulled pork sandwiches or grilled hamburgers/hot dogs, depending on weather; inside & outside tables are available. It’s okay to leave for a local restaurant lunch in Hood River on your own, then come back to the museum in the afternoon.
