Autocross is a great way to test your car’s performance and your driving skill.  Autocross consists of one car at a time making runs against the clock on a closed course marked by cones. Each run takes about one minute. Speeds are low to medium, generally below 70 mph and driven in second gear. Time penalties are added for disturbing cones or skipping gates.

Our club participates in 5 autocross events a year that are organized by the NWACC (Northwest Association of Corvette Clubs).  These events are held in Shelton, WA at Sanderson Field on a former WWII airstrip that has been closed to air traffic.  These events include participants at all skill levels, and most drivers will be more than willing to help newcomers learn the course.

To learn more about NWACC Autocross event policies and procedures, please review the NWACC Competition Code at www.nwacconline.com then click on Autocross.  This document includes technical inspection requirements, safety policies, vehicle classifications and other important information.  All competitors must review this document.

If you are interested in attending this event, you NEED to register at https://scorekeeper.wwscc.org/register/nwacc2026/events.  Deadline to register is 6 PM on Friday prior to event.  Also, please register on our club website event calendar so we can put you on the coordination email list.

Also, The Washington Viper Club holds their autocross events on the Saturday before our events, at the same location.  Most of us are also associate members of the Viper Club, racing on Saturday with the Viper Club and on Sunday with the Corvette Club.  It is always a fun weekend with our cars and hanging out with fellow racers.   You can stay in a local hotel or camp onsite in the pit area.  You can register for the Viper autocross events here www.motorsportreg.com.
